How do I check if I have sufficient memory?
First, check the minimum requirements to install and run the Sympatico essential software on your computer.
To check how much memory you have available with:
Windows XP/Me/98/95- Click Start, then click Settings, then Control Panel.
- Double-click System.
- Click the Performance tab (in Windows XP, the General tab).
- The total memory (RAM) available in your computer will be displayed.
- In the Finder, click the Apple menu.
- Click About this Mac (or About this Macintosh).
- The total memory (RAM) available in your computer will be displayed.
- Double-click the Main program group.
- Double-click the MS-DOS Prompt.
- At the DOS prompt, type mem.
- The total memory (RAM) available in your computer will be displayed under the Free column.
