How to make an address book Some e-mail programs let you create an address book for storing information about the people whose e-mail and other information you want to have handy. The address book stores names, e-mail addresses, and "nicknames" of your contacts. Nicknames are short names you use to identify people. Instead of typing out the full e-mail address in the To: field of a new message, you can simply type the nickname. You can also group together entries in your address book as lists to easily send messages to more than one person at a time.
