Viruses [ Software ]
Viruses  |  Virus Hoaxes  |  How Viruses Work  |  VIRUS PROTECTION  |  Anti-virus Software

You can find out whether your computer has a virus by using virus-protection software to scan your computer's hard drive. If it finds a virus while scanning your hard drive, it will warn you and give you the option of either removing or ignoring the virus.

Most anti-virus software can be set to scan your computer's hard drive and diskettes automatically, scanning any file before it is opened. This effectively immunizes your system against future infection from viruses.

Remember: a virus can't do any harm if caught before it gets a chance to start.
