Usually, when you start Netscape Communicator, Navigator is the component that opens. However, there are other ways to start Navigator once you have started Communicator.

You can click the Communicator menu, then click Navigator, or you can click the Navigator ship's wheel icon at any time on the Component bar

If you open Navigator via the Component bar, Navigator will start and display your home page (most likely the Sympatico home page).

You can use Navigator while you are not connected to the Internet.

You can also clear the history of sites that Netscape Communicator has visited.
