Although Outlook Express is a separate application that can run without Internet Explorer, the two programs are connected almost seamlessly. To start Outlook ExpressIf Microsoft Internet Explorer is open, click the Mail button on the toolbar (click and hold with Macintosh), then select Read Mail from the menu that pops up. Outlook Express will open.
