The Internet Explorer browser is used to find and browse Web pages. It also keeps a list of sites you have already seen, as well as your favourite sites. To browse the Web, you must start the Internet Explorer browser.

To start the Internet Explorer browser

  • Double-click IE icon on your desktop with Windows and in the Microsoft Internet Explorer folder with Macintosh. The Internet Explorer browser will start.

    The Internet Explorer window consists of five toolbars at the top of the window, and a large area for displaying Web pages. To find out more about the toolbars, see the Toolbars section.
