[Learn about the Internet]
INTERNET | Sympatico Service | Computers and Modems How can I find out more about the Internet? One of the best ways to learn about computers and the Internet is to use the Internet to take a course! The Sympatico service has recently teamed up with MindLeaders, one of the best Net-based training services available, to offer more than 200 courses that you can take at home, via the Internet. The courses cover all manner of topics, including how to use various versions of Microsoft Word, work with Adobe Photoshop to manipulate and enhance images, and use Netscape Composer to create a Web site. Sympatico members can sign up for as many courses as they want, for one low price, at http://www.learning.sympatico.ca/dpec. Many local schools, colleges and universities also offer courses on the Internet as part of their curriculum (see Sympatico.ca's Learning section for educational links). As well, there are a large number of books covering all aspects of the Internet which you can find at your local bookstore or library. The References section contains some recommended books and Internet sites where you can find out more about the Internet. Back to FAQ
