Print this page (or have a friend print it) to have it at hand when you change your settings, since you'll have to be disconnected from the Internet to do so.

• You will need the following pieces of information before you continue.
  • User ID - it is a mix of numbers and letters, like b1wxyz99. (If you are a MTT or Northern Telephone customer, your User ID is your e-mail prefix - the part of the e-mail address before the @.)
  • E-mail address (how to find out what your e-mail address is)
  • E-mail password. This should not be changed if you are roaming.
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP) address.
  • Incoming mail server (POP) address. This should not be changed if you are roaming.
  • Newsgroup server (NNTP) address. If you are roaming, you only need to change this if you want to read newsgroups while roaming.

Outlook Express (with Microsoft Internet Explorer)

1. Start Outlook Express.
2. Click the Tools menu, then click Accounts.
3. Click the Mail tab, then double-click [your name]'s Account.
4. Click the General tab .Then type your name and Sympatico e-mail address in the Name and E-mail address boxes, respectively.
   
   
   
   
5. Click the Servers tab. Then type the SMTP server in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) box, then type the POP server in the Incoming mail (POP3) box.
6. Type your Sympatico User ID in the Account name box, then type your password in the Password box. Click OK to save your settings.
   
   
   
   
7. Click the News tab. Double-click Sympatico news server, then click the Servers tab, then type the news server in the Server name box. Click OK.
   
   
   
   
8. Click the Close button to save your settings.

   You may be prompted to enter your password the next time you retrieve your e-mail.
